My name is Sharon Wylie, and it has been an honor and privilege to serve as your State Representative for the 49th Legislative District since 2011. In May, I filed for re-election so that we can build on our successes, as well as address good ideas that we didn’t get to last session.
My commitment to you is to create and support policy that results in a strong economy, a fair and inclusive community, a quality education, and a healthy environment for everyone to enjoy. As an elected leader at the state level, we have made progress, but much work remains.
I am a mom and a grandmother who will listen and be open and respectful to all. I volunteer for the National Institute for Civil Discourse because I believe in respect and civil problem solving. Sadly, this doesn’t always happen. Working with people with whom you may not agree can be difficult but important if we are to tackle issues from public safety and cybercrime to healthcare and racism.
It would be an honor to continue to serve as your State Representative, and I will continue to work hard and be open to ideas to make our state better. Thank you.
